The third release of Viewpoint For Projects™ in 2023 focuses on updates to the Notification Center. While these updates will gradually be available over the coming weeks, you can see the new look and feel now. The features being added are listed in this What’s New. You can use the opt out option if you do not wish to receive these notifications.
Task Status
You will get a notification if you’re assigned to a Task. You’ll also get a notification if you need to take an action on a Task you’re assigned to or if it has a new response or is redirected.
Documents
You’ll receive a notification if you’ve been added as a recipient to a document that has been uploaded, or if that document has been amended or revised. You’ll receive only one notification regardless of if you’re in more than one of the distribution or security groups added to the document.
Workflow
You’ll receive a notification when an item in the Workflow enters a decision node that requires you to Vote or Comment. You’ll also receive a notification when the Workflow terminates.
Matrix Transmittals
You’ll receive a notification if you’ve been added to a Matrix Transmittal, or if that Transmittal has been revised. You’ll receive only one notification regardless of if you’re in more than one of the distribution or security groups added to the Transmittal.
Invitation Acceptance
When a user accepts or rejects an Invitation to join a VFP project, the user who sent the Invitation will get a notification. This notification includes the name of the invitee and if the Invitation was accepted, and the Enterprise the user was invited to.
