Use the Shipping Terms Maintenance screen to establish various quick entry codes for use during Quote Entry, Order Entry and Invoice Entry. The shipping terms code can be a single letter or number. For example, P can be created for "Prepaid", or C for "Collect." These codes may then be utilized during entry at the Shipping Terms Field; by typing *P, the system would show "Prepaid" on the order or invoice.

Shipping terms only relate to the payment arrangement for transportation costs, not terms of payment of the invoice to be created. Either the company will pay the shipper (prepaid) or the customer will pay the shipper (collect).
