Create compensation rates by copying compensation rates from a pay class

  1. Open the Compensation Rates screen.
  2. Note the active country. If you want to change it, click in the header and select the appropriate country.
  3. In the Compensation Package field, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code of the compensation package for the compensation rates and press Tab.

    • Click to select the compensation package from a lookup list.

  4. In the Trade-Union field, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code of the trade or union for the compensation rates and press Tab.

    • Click to select the trade or union from a lookup list.

  5. In the Pay Class field, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code of the pay class for the compensation rates and press Tab.

    • Click to select the pay class from a lookup list.

  6. In the Effective Date field, do one of the following:
    • Enter the effective date for the compensation rates in the format specified in the region settings on your computer.

    • Click to select the date from a date picker.

  7. Press Tab.
  8. Click Copy from Pay Class.
  9. In the Trade-Union field of the Copy from Pay Class popup window, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code for the trade or union of the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy.
    • Click to select the trade or union of the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy from a lookup list.
  10. In the Pay Class field, do one of the following:
    • Enter the code for the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy.
    • Click to select the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy from a lookup list.
  11. In the Compensation Package field, do one of the following if a compensation package is associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy:
    • Enter the code for the compensation package associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy.
    • Click to select the compensation package associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy from a lookup list.
  12. In the Effective Date field, do one of the following if a compensation package is associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy:
    • Enter the code for the effective date of the compensation package associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy in the format specified in the region settings on your computer.
    • Click to select the effective date of the compensation package associated with the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy from a lookup list.
  13. Select the checkboxes as needed to include deduction, fringe, additional pay, and pay rate information from the pay class that contains the compensation rates you want to copy.
  14. Click OK to close the Copy from Pay Class popup window and return to the Compensation Rates screen.
  15. Complete the fields as described on the Compensation Rates Screen Field Reference.
  16. Click Save Rates.
