Use the Generate Recurring Journal Entry screen to enter journal entries based on existing recurring journal entry templates.

Before you can generate a recurring journal entry, you must use the Recurring Journal Entry screen to set up a template for a recurring journal entry.

Using recurring journal entry templates is convenient when you have journal entries that:

• Need to be entered at regular intervals.
• Are for the same amount.
• Are charged to the same general ledger account.

Common situations for recurring journal entries include depreciation and prepaid insurance.
