If your organization uses SQL Express, follow these steps to apply a new version of Viewpoint Estimating to your server.

1. Log in as an administrator to the computer that acts as your company server
2. Double-click the install file for the SQL Server Express version of the Viewpoint Estimating server that you earlier or received from Viewpoint.
3. If a window displays listing items to be installed, review the items to be installed and click Install.
4. If a message displays about restarting your computer, review the message and click Yes.
5. On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard screen, click Next.
6. Complete the following steps on the License Agreement page:
   1. Click Print to print the agreement, if needed.
   2. Click Third Party Software Used to read the third party software notices and additional terms and conditions.
   3. Select the appropriate option button and click Next.
      Anmerkung: Accepting the terms of the license agreement is required in order to continue the installation.
7. If you have previously installed the Viewpoint Estimating files to the default location, click Next. Otherwise, click Change and select the location where you have previously installed Viewpoint Estimating.
   Anmerkung: The installation checks the amount of free space available on the drive. If the amount does not meet the Server-Based Network Requirements, click Cancel. Ensure that the drive has the minimum amount of free space before restarting the installation.
8. Select the database server instance that contains the databases you want to upgrade and click Next.
9. Click Install.
10. If a message displays about compatibility issues with Microsoft SQL Server, click Run Program to continue the installation.
11. When the installation program completes, click Finish.
