What's New in HR Management for Spectrum 2024 R7

The 2024 R7 release introduces HR Management for Canada. This release is available as of 7/31/24.

Introducing HR Management for Canada!

New enterprise setting allows you to localize Employee Self-Service and Onboarding for Canadian companies.

The country you select in this setting impacts the address fields and tax-related information shown in your portal. For example, when you select Canada as the country for a company, fields such as State, State Tax ID, Social Security Number, and Zip Code, are localized for Canada (becoming Province, Province Tax ID, Social Insurance Number, and Postal Code, respectively). In addition, references to check (as in paycheck) are changed to cheque.

You will notice the majority of the localization changes on the following pages: New Hire Details, Personal Info, Earnings, and Admin Settings.

Federal TD1 Form Now Available

The fillable PDF version of the TD1 form is now available in Onboarding. You can add this form as a task to hiring profiles or as an additional task for individual new hires to complete. This form is available for both Canadian and U.S. companies. See About the TD1 Form for more information.

Customize Time Off Field Labels by Company

Enhanced Earnings Settings allow you to customize the labels for the time off types that show in Earnings and on employee pay stubs (PDF and HTML versions).

To change a time off field name, go to Admin Settings > Earnings Settings. Scroll to the Time off fields section of the Paystub Statement Template, and enter your custom label in the text box associated with the applicable time off type. Custom time off labels apply to the selected company only.

Note: The text box is available only for the time off types that you have selected to display on paychecks. Time off types without a custom label display with their default names (Vacation, Holiday, or Sick).

New Welcome Kit Videos

The Employee Welcome Kit now includes a new set of videos that you can provide to your employees to help them make the most of your employee portal.
