Select Layers and Pages

Modified: 10 May 2026 Advanced Image Manager Document Management Help

To get started with Advanced Image Manager, open a file and select the layers and pages.

Select Pages

Follow these steps to select pages.

On the Pages pane:

  • You can select and drag a page or multiple pages to a location outside of Advanced Image Manager, such as Windows Explorer or to an email message. This copies the file to the target location. If you have more than one page selected, you will see the Drag Selected icon on the Pages pane. See Drag Selections for details.

  • Filter your view (see below).

  • Set Processed Flags. See Flag Pages as Processed.

Note: The Pages pane only appears if you open a PDF that has more than one page.
  1. In the Advanced Image Manager main window, open a file as follows:
    • Select File > Open and browse to select a file.
    • Select File > Recently Used Files to select the file from the list of recently used files.
  2. On the Pages tab in the left pane, each page is listed with a thumbnail image.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the pages you want to select.
Tip: To quickly select all pages, in the Pages pane, right-click and select Check All.
    • Use the Drag Selected icon to copy/move the selected files to the location to which you drag them. See Drag Selections for details.
    • Use the drop-down menu in the Pages pane to filter your view to see only the pages you need:

      • View All: Shows all pages.
      • Checked: Shows only the pages you have selected.
      • Not Checked: Shows only the pages you have NOT selected.
      • Processed: Shows only the pages that have processed flag(s).
      • Not Processed: Shows only the pages that do NOT have processed flag(s).
Advanced Image Manager automatically applies a flag when you make changes to an image and save it. In addition, you can manually add and remove flags in the Pages pane. See Flag Pages as Processed for information on using and clearing processed flags. A preview of the current page displays:
  • When a multiple page file is being viewed, the current page displayed is noted in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • The current page displayed has a yellow box around its preview in the Pages pane and is also noted in the status bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Other selected pages have a blue box around their thumbnail previews.
