Fields in the Employee Conditions Tab

This table provides the description for the fields in the EMPLOYEE CONDITIONS tab in the Employee Maintenance - Employment Conditions screen. This screen is applicable only to Australian payrolls, identified by a blank character at position 29 of the PAYROL parameter. If the position is set to "Z", the screens pertaining to New Zealand will get displayed.

Field Name Description

Surname

Enter the surname of the employee in this field.

Given names

Enter the name that the employee has given in this field.

Other Names

Enter any other name by which the employee has been known in this field.

Employee Income Type

Salary & Wages: Select the radio button if the employee is receiving daily/weekly/monthly wages.

Closely Held Payees: Select the radio button if the employee is directly related to the business.

Inbound Assignees to Australia: Select the radio button if the employee belongs to the "Inbound Assignees to Australia" category.

Working Holiday Makers: Select the radio button if the employee is a working holiday maker.

Voluntary Agreement: Select the radio button if the employee is classified under voluntary agreement.

Labour Hire:Select the radio button if the employee is classified under labour hire.

Labour hire payments are processed through accounts payable, not payroll.

Therefore, these employees will not be reported in STP2.

Foreign Income: Select the radio button if the employee is classified under foreign income.

Country Code

Enter the country code in this field.

Note: This is required for income types WHM, FEI and IAA, leave blank for all others.

Registered For WHM

No: Select the radio button if the employee has not registered for the WHM program.

Yes: Select the radio button if the employee has registered for the WHM program.

Employee is not WHM: Select the radio button if the employee is not a working holiday maker.

Employment Basis

Full Time: Select the radio button if the employee is employed full time.

Part Time: Select the radio button if the employee is employed part time.

Casual: Select the radio button if an employee is on a casual basis.

Labour Hire: Select the radio button if an employee is a labour hire.

Vol Agreement: Select the radio button if an employee is on a voluntary agreement.

Death Beneficiary: Select the radio button if an employee is on a death beneficiary.

Tax Scale Variations

Select one of the following radio buttons based on ATO requirements:

  • Downward variations
  • Death Beneficiaries
  • Non-Employees
  • Not Applicable

VOL Agreement Rate

Select one of the following radio buttons based on ATO requirements:

  • Commisioner instalment rate
  • No commissioner instalment rate
  • Not applicable

Med Levy Surcharge Tier

Select one of the following radio buttons based on ATO requirements:

  • Taxable Income >=90,000.00 for single or >=180,000.00 for family
  • Taxable Income >=105,000.00 for single or >=210,000.00 for family
  • Taxable Income >=140,000.00 for single or >=280,000.00 for family
  • Not applicable

Med Levy Exemptions

Full: Select the radio button if the employee is eligible for full exemption.

Half: Select the radio button if the employee is eligible for half exemption.

Not Applicable: Select the radio button if the employee is not eligible for Med Levy exemptions.

Med Levy Reductions

Select one of the following options that is applicable for the employee:

  • Spouse
  • 1 Child
  • 2 Children
  • 3 Children
  • 4 Children
  • 5 Children
  • 6 Children
  • 7 Children
  • 8 Children
  • 9 Children
  • 10 or More Children
  • Not Applicable
