Use the Print Forms W-2 Summary Report screen to generate a report that includes the number of Forms W-2 to be submitted as well as employer totals for the fields on your Forms W-2.
This report serves two purposes:
- To determine the number of Forms W-2 that you will need for your year-end activities.
- To gather the information you need to manually complete your Form W-3. Form W-3 serves as a cover sheet when you submit paper copies of your Forms W-2 to the Social Security Administration (SSA).Note: ProContractor does not support printing Form W-3.
Note: The Print Forms W-2 Summary Report prints the state and local totals applicable to Copy A of Forms W-2 as required by the Social Security Administration. If an employee works in more than two states or localities, the state and local totals on the Forms W-2 Summary will not match the state totals and local totals on Copy 1 of the employee's Form W-2.
