You can create a user record in ProContractor after adding the user to the PCC portal.
A record in the PCC portal must exist for this user before you create the corresponding user record in the ProContractor application.
Note: Use these instructions only if your organization has a
ProContractor Cloud deployment. If you need to add one or more users to an on-premises environment, see
Users screen.
To set up a ProContractor user in the cloud:
- Open ProContractor in the PCC environment and select .
The User screen appears.
- Choose how you want to derive the user code:
- If you want ProContractor to assign a user code based on the user's name, select Yes in the Auto Assign User field.
Note: The
Auto Assign User field is enabled only if the
Allow Auto assign Option for User option is set to
Yes in
System Settings screen.
- To assign a user code manually, enter a code of up to eight alphanumeric characters in the User field.
- Enter the name of the user in the Title, First, Initial, Last, and Suffix fields.
Note: Only the last name is required.
- To change the default sort name, enter a new value in the Sort Name field.
- In the Authentication area, enter the user's authentication credentials.
- For ProContractor authentication, enter a Login Name, and then enter a password in both the New Password and Verify Password fields.
- For Windows authentication, enter the user's Cloud domain and user account name in the Domain\User Account Name field (for example, viewpointcloud\userone).
Tip: When using Windows authentication, the user's Cloud credentials are automatically used to log them into ProContractor. This saves the user a step in the login process. Review your security protocols to determine which authentication type is appropriate for your organization.
- Select the Company/Division Permissions tab.
A list of companies displays.
- For each company listed, select the type of access to provide to the user: Full Access or No Access.
- Select Save User to save the record.
- Complete other fields as desired.
After adding a user in ProContractor, you must provide the user their Cloud credentials and ProContractor login credentials (if different from the Cloud credentials).
