About Equipment Entries

Modified: 9 Oct 2026 Traqspera Time Entry Equipment Help

In Traqspera, you can track equipment in several different ways on timesheets.

Note: Most companies only need to enter equipment in one, or occasionally, two ways. You do not need to configure all equipment entry methods.
In the Equipment section of a timesheet
This configuration enables users to enter the equipment, job, phase, and hours separate from labor on their timesheets. Other fields may display depending on your system configuration.

To enable this, you must grant each role that needs to log equipment entries the appropriate permission. Navigate to Settings & Permission > Permissions > Equipment > Equipment Entries on Timesheets and enable View, Create, and Edit.

For more information, see Enter Equipment on a Timesheet.

As an equipment operator with an employee time entry
This configuration, also referred to as inline equipment entries, enables users to combine equipment operator hours/entries on the same line as a labor entry on their timesheets.

To enable this, navigate to Settings & Permission > Timesheet > Timesheet Fields and enable Use Equipment Operator Entries. Then navigate to Settings & Permission > Timesheet > Clocking and set Equipment on Clocking to Operator Entry.

As part of an equipment work order timesheet entry
This configuration applies if you sync equipment work order jobs from Spectrum and have set up a work order department. It enables users to select the following when entering equipment on timesheets:
  • An equipment department
  • An equipment number for the job
  • A cost category for the phase code
  • A work order number (if applicable)
If you use the Planned Maintenance module in Spectrum, you can also configure Planned Maintenance (PM) work order timesheet entries. Contact support to enable this feature.

For more information, see Set Up Asset/Equipment Jobs.
