| Password Length | The minimum number of characters required for a password. The default is 8. |
| Password Complexity | The combination of required character types such as uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters. |
| Password Expiration | The number of days a password remains valid before the user is prompted to create a new one. Setting this to "No expiration" allows passwords to be used indefinitely. |
| Password Reuse Policy | The number of unique passwords required before a previous one can be used. A value of "5" means each user must set five different passwords before they can reuse their current password. |
| Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) | Specifies whether users are required to provide a second form of verification (such as a security code from an authenticator app or SMS) in addition to their password. For more information on supported MFA methods, see How to Secure Your Trimble ID Account. |
| Failed Login Attempts | The number of times within a 15-minute period that a user can enter an incorrect password before their account is locked. |
| Lockout Period | The duration (in minutes) that a user's sign-in screen remains disabled after they've reached the failed sign-in attempt limit. |
