Access the 2D Viewer

The 2D Viewer can be accessed from the Trimble Connect for Browser application when opening 2D data.

The 2D Viewer can be opened by:
  • Opening a 2D file or view from the Trimble Connect for Browser application
  • From an email notification with 2D content

View 2D Files

You can view DWGs, PDFs, Microsoft Office files, and images using the 2D Viewer.

To view a file in the 2D Viewer:

  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
  2. Go to the Explorer page.
  3. Select a 2D file by selecting clicking anywhere in the row.
    Clicking the file name will open the file in the Viewer application automatically.
  4. When you have selected a file, the detail panel will open on the right-side.
  5. To view the file, select View.
Note: You can open DWG and DXF files in the 2D or 3D Viewer. Opening multiple 2D files simultaneously is not supported.

Open a View in the 2D Viewer

You can open a view in the 2D viewer.

To open a View in the 2D Viewer:
  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
  2. Go to the Views page.
  3. Select the 2D Views tab.
  4. Select the 2D Views that you want to open.
    The detail panel will open.
  5. Select View located in the detail panel.
    The Viewer application will open in a new tab.
