Install Trimble Connect for Windows

Follow these steps to install Trimble Connect for Windows.

Ensure your device meets the minimum system requirements before installing.
You don't need to delete previous versions of Trimble Connect before installing new versions or updates of already-installed versions.
  1. Download Trimble Connect for Windows.
    1. Sign in to Trimble Connect using your Trimble ID. For more information, see Sign in with Trimble ID.
    2. Download the installation file from the Trimble Connect App Store.
  2. Locate and double-click on the Installer file (probably in your Downloads folder).
  3. Install the required plugins.
    These are used in order to read various files types while using Trimble Connect for Windows.
    Once the plugins are installed, the Trimble Connect for Windows installation will start.
  4. Accept the license agreement.
  5. Define the installation location. The default location is C:\Program Files\Trimble\Trimble Connect\ but you can also install Trimble Connect for Windows to a non default location.
  6. Define which files should automatically be opened in Trimble Connect.
    The installation executes.
