Import Projects from Vista

Use an existing job in your ERP system to create a new project in Trimble Pay.

In Vista, in JC Jobs, the Job status must be Open in order for Trimble Pay to be able to import.

Note: After a project is imported, its archived status in Trimble Pay is automatically set by its corresponding Job status in Vista: If the Vista Job is closed, the Trimble Pay project is archived; if the Vista Job is reopened, the project is unarchived in Trimble Pay.

To import a project:

In the left-hand sidebar, select Integrations > Start Import.
The grid displays all Vista jobs which have Open status but have not been imported.
Select the checkbox for the project you want to import and select Next.

Tip: To speed processing, import only one job at a time.
Review the project details and select Import.
The Vista job shows in your Dashboard, now as a Trimble Pay project.
Select the newly imported project to open it. In project settings, enter the County.
Note: Trimble Pay pulls the job address from the Vista job's Shipping Address.
Complete the remainder of the setup in Trimble Pay. If needed, see Go Live with Trimble Pay (Integrated).

Your subcontracts, vendors, and change orders will flow from Vista to this project in Trimble Pay automatically once they reach their correct status.

Note: Expect the following:

For its Project Owner field, Trimble Pay uses the first Vista AR Customer it encounters.
If any fields which Trimble Pay requires aren't populated in the Vista job prior to the import, Trimble Pay inserts these values in the project:
- Project name = No Description in Vista
- Address line 1, city, and county = Not Provided
- State = AL
- Zip Code = 00000
If you need to change these values, make the edits in Vista. Trimble Pay users can edit the field values in Trimble Pay, but the automatic sync overrides these changes when it performs a Vista job update.
