Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates
screen.
Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click Estimating > Earthwork > Manage Earthwork Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
- Select the Area tab, if it is not already active.

In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click
to select the layer on which you want to digitize.

Click Snap
on the speedbar.
- Click once inside a previously-drawn area. This tells the new area to "snap to" the closest point in the area selected here.

Choose the point(s) at which the new area should snap to the existing area within the Snap popup window. As you choose points in the Snap popup window, the points and line segments are highlighted on the drawing.
Note: To select multiple points, hold Shift and click on the points you want, or click on the first point and drag the cursor over all the points you want to select.

Click OK. The points to which the new area will snap are highlighted.
The application denotes the last point "snapped to" by placing a red dot next to it.

Click either the Point
or Trace
on the speedbar and finish digitizing the new area.

Click Finished
on the speedbar.
