Modify a Volume Attribute

  1. Click Estimating > Earthwork > Tools > Volume Attributes in the All Tasks pane.
  2. Click on the attribute to edit.
  3. In the Display As field, click to select the units in which to display the area's subgrade on the summary report. If you choose TN/mt, you must also supply the conversion factor from CY or SF to TN.
  4. In the Swell field, click to increase or decrease the swell factor for the material.
  5. In the Yield field, click to increase or decrease the yield factor for the material. If needed, you can calculate the yield based on the swell, by doing the following:
    1. Click Calc.
    2. In the Swell Factor field, click to increase or decrease the swell factor for the material.
    3. In the Original Density field, click to increase or decrease the density percentage for the original material.
    4. In the Design Density field, click to increase or decrease the density percentage for the final material.
    5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK.
