Align a digitized layer in an imported AutoCAD file using matchlines.
- Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
- Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
- If you have not imported the AutoCAD file you want to work with, use the AutoCAD screen import screen to import the file.
- In your imported layer, follow the steps listed in Digitize Spot Elevations and Reference Points to create the reference points in the imported layer.

In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click
to select the layer you want to digitize.
- Click in the All Tasks pane.
- Click Next to skip the first page of the Add Drawing popup window.
- Complete the fields as described on the Set the Scale of Sheets.
- Click Finished. Continue the digitization process as normal.
