Align an Imported Layer with a Previously Digitized Layer

Align an imported TDS file with a layer you have already digitized.

Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.

Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click Estimating > Earthwork > Manage Earthwork Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
Select the Takeoff tab, if it is not already active.
In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click to select the layer you want to digitize.
Digitize the drawing as you would normally.
In the Active Layer field on the toolbar, click to select the layer you want to import.
Follow the steps listed in TDS Data screen to import the TDS file.
Follow the steps listed in Synchronize Layers screen to complete the process of aligning your digitized layer and your imported layer.
