Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates
screen.
Note: To open a job in the
Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select
the job you want to open, and click OK.

Select the Len/EA tab, if it is not already active.

Click Symbol
on the speedbar.

In the Select Symbol Style popup window, click New.
Note: When you have a symbol selected while clicking New,
the currently selected symbols properties will be displayed and you will need to
erase the pixels or make modifications based on the current image.

In the Description field, enter a unique name for the symbol.

Select the Depth checkbox if the symbol is associated with an item which has an invert depth (such as a manhole).

The current color is displayed below the Color button. Click Color to change the current color.

Each square on the grid represents a pixel in the symbol. Click on a square to fill it with the current color. Click again to remove the current color. You can also hold the left mouse button down while dragging the pointer to draw lines or solid boxes.

Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you have created the image you want to use for the symbol.

Click OK.
