Copying lines is useful when you want to use the same line in different layers of a
job.
This feature enables you to copy the line or portions of the line to another layer. For
example, you could copy a line from the existing layer to the proposed layer instead of
having to digitize it again.

Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click
OK.

Select the Takeoff tab, if
it is not already active.

Click Select
on the speedbar.

Select the line you want to
copy.

Click Prop
on the speedbar.

Select the point(s) you want
to copy.

Click Copy.

Click OK.

In the Active
Layer field on the toolbar, click
to select the
layer for which you want to digitize a line.

Press Ctrl+V. The line
is copied to the layer.
