After digitizing a line, you may need to insert a point on the line for various
reasons.
For example, you may have forgotten to insert an elevation point on a sloped line.
Alternatively, you may have traced the line incorrectly and now need to Correct the Contour of an Existing Line.

Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click
OK.

Select the Takeoff tab, if
it is not already active.

Click Select
on the speedbar and select the line you want to modify.

Position the cursor on the
line at the location where you want to insert a point.

Right-click and select
Insert
Point. The application inserts a point at the location.

Click Prop.
on the speedbar. The Line Properties window appears.

In the Elevation
field for the newly inserted point, type the elevation.

Click OK.
