Setting a reference point enables you to mark an individual elevation point on the
line for use when you set grid properties in the Grid tab or when using matchlines to work
with multiple drawings.
You can view the reference points after setting them
by clicking Layers on the toolbar and selecting Reference Points. When you create a
reference point, Viewpoint
Estimating automatically activates the
layer on which the reference point was created.
