- Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
- Select the Trench tab, if it is not already active.
- In the Pipe Invert field on the speedbar, enter the starting pipe invert value.

Click Point
on the speedbar.

Digitize the points along the trench.
Note: If the pipe inverts value changes along the trench, you can stop the digitization process and change the value in the Pipe Invert field and then continue.

Click Finished
on the speedbar.
- Complete the fields as described on the Trench Popup Window Field Reference.
- If you want to save the changes you made to the template or if you entered a name for a new template and want to save the trench as a new template, click Save Template and click OK.
- If you want to undo your changes and restore the original template settings, click Restore on the Elevations tab.
- Click Finished.
