Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates
screen.
Note: To open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen, click Estimating > Earthwork > Manage Earthwork Estimates in the All Tasks pane. Click Open Existing Job. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
- Select the Trench tab, if it is not already active.

Click Vector
on the speedbar to enable vector functionality (if not already enabled).
Note: For newly imported PDF files that contain vectors, the Vector tool is automatically enabled. If the Vector tool is disabled in a newly imported PDF file, then the file does contain any vectors. - In the vector layers window, select the vector layers that contain the vectors you want to digitize.
- In the Pipe Invert field on the speedbar, enter the starting pipe invert value.

Do one following to select the vectors within the trench:
- Click Select
on the speedbar, hold the
Shift key, and left-click on each vector within the trench you want to
digitize. - Click Multi
on the speedbar and left-click
on each vector within the trench you want to digitize.
- Click Select

Complete the annotation by right-clicking or by clicking Finished
on the speedbar.
- Complete the fields as described on the Trench Popup Window Field Reference.
- If you want to save the changes you made to the template or if you entered a name for a new template and want to save the trench as a new template, click Save Template and click OK.
- If you want to undo your changes and restore the original template settings, click Restore on the Elevations tab.
- Click Finished.
