Print a Visual Assembly

Modified: 7 Sep 2026 Viewpoint Estimating Estimating Help

You can print a report of the visual assembly at any time while you are creating a visual assembly. This enables you to print some of the basic details to make sure you have not forgotten any parts of the assembly. The report displays:

  • Cost items in the assembly

  • Quantities for each cost item

  • Units for each cost item

  • Preview picture of the visual assembly

The information in the report is the same information displayed when you click Quantities.

Note: To open a visual assembly, open a job in the Manage Estimates screen (click Estimating > Estimating > Manage Estimates in the All Tasks pane, select the job you want to open, and click OK). Then do one of the following:
  • From the Estimate tab, double-click on the visual assembly.

  • From the Takeoff tab, double-click on the takeoff item that represents the assembly, then double-click on the assembly name.

  • From the Catalog tab, open the Visual Assemblies folder and double-click on the assembly.
