You can add items to the estimate from the Catalog tab using Send on the Catalog tab speedbar. This feature is especially useful if you are modifying cost items in the catalog as you send them to the estimate. When you send cost items to the estimate, each item is added to the end of the estimate.
If you are not making changes to the catalog, Viewpoint recommends that you use Insert in the Estimate tab to add items. This enables you to specify where you want to place the cost item in the estimate. For more information, see Insert Cost Items from the Catalog in the Estimate.
If you send a list assembly or visual assembly to the estimate, all the cost items and other assemblies that make up the assembly are also copied to the estimate in assembly form. The cost items and assemblies in the assembly you send are not sent as individual cost items in the estimate.
To open a job in the Manage Estimates screen, click in the All Tasks pane. Then select the job you want to open, and click OK.
