Import an Estimator 6.5 database

  1. Open the Manage Estimates screen and open the job you want to import information to.
  2. Open the Catalog tab.
  3. Click Estimating > Tools > Estimating Import/Export Tool in the All Tasks pane.
  4. From the Import tab, select the Estimator 6.5 Job/Database option and click OK.
  5. Select the Database (select directory) option.
  6. Click and navigate to the folder where the database is located. This is typically C:\Program Files\Estimator5\Database.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Name field, verify that the name of the imported catalog is unique. You can verify this by checking the Existing Jobs and Catalogs list. If needed, you can change the name of the catalog.
  9. Click Import.
  10. When the import is complete, click OK.
