Set the pitch

Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
From the Takeoff tab, click .
To activate the Pitch feature, select the Use pitch for takeoff quantities checkbox.
In the Rise per 12 inches of run field, use the arrows to set the number of inches of rise you need for each foot of run.
If you are calculating your items by a unit of SQ (squares—100 SF per SQ), select the Calculate roof cover in squares checkbox.
Click OK.
Note: Once you activate pitch, it will remain active until you turn it off, which will apply the pitch to each cost item you takeoff while pitch is active.
