Edit a text object in the takeoff

You can change the properties of a text object, but you cannot change the text type of text object.

If you need to change the text type, delete the original text object and add a new one.

Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.
From the Takeoff tab, click on the speedbar.
Right-click on the text object you want to edit and select Edit Properties.
Modify the text you want to display in the text box at the top of the Text Properties popup window, if needed. For a legend, this is the title text.
If you selected Legend, select the Include quantity totals checkbox to show the quantity of each item in the legend. Deselect the checkbox to exclude quantities from the legend.
Click Font to change the characteristics of the text.
Click Color to change the color of the text displayed. Color is not available for Sticky Notes.
If you want to use these settings each time this text object is placed, click Set as Default.
Click OK.
