Once you have added a layer, you can edit its properties at any time.
- Open a job in the Manage Estimates screen.

From the Takeoff
tab, click Layers
on the
speedbar.
- In the Job Layers tab, select the layer you want to modify.
- To change the layer name, double-click the Name field and modify the layer name.
- To change the layer’s description, double-click the Description field and modify the description of the layer.
- Select the Visible checkbox to make the layer visible on the Takeoff tab. Deselect the Visible checkbox to hide the layer.
- Select the Default checkbox to make the layer a default layer. Deselect this checkbox to remove the default status from the layer.
- When you are finished, click OK.
