CAUTION: Do not use the serial connection or the power connection
while using the USB connection. Doing so will cause the hardware to malfunction.
Connect the stylus pen (or
4/16 button cursor) to the digitizer (shown as Transducer (POINTER) in the
image).
Plug the power supply into
an AC outlet and then connect the power supply to the appropriate jack on the
Connector Panel. The digitizer will beep four short tones indicating it is powered
on.
Connect the RS-232 serial
cable to the serial jack on the connector panel. The connector is keyed and will fit
only the correct jack. Do not force it.
Connect the RS-232 serial
cable to the serial port on the computer.
Windows may detect the new hardware. If the
Found New Hardware wizard appears, click Cancel. You will install the
drivers manually at a later time.
