Extract and Run an Industry Catalog

  1. Follow the link you received from Viewpoint and download the ZIP file.
  2. Right-click on the ZIP file and select Open with > Windows Explorer.
    An Explorer window opens to show an EXE file.
  3. Double-click on the EXE file.
  4. Enter the password you received from Viewpoint and click Next.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Review the license agreement. Select the appropriate option button and click Next.
    Note: Accept the terms of the license agreement in order to expand the industry catalog.
  7. If you want to install the industry catalog to the default location, click Next. Otherwise, click Change, then browse to select the appropriate folder and click Next.
  8. Click Install.
  9. Clear the View the database import instructions checkbox.
    Note: The database import instructions included in the EXE file are not relevant to Viewpoint Estimating.
  10. Click Finish.
    Repeat this process as needed for each industry catalog you purchased.
After you extract and run an industry catalog, the next step is to Import a single industry catalog.
