If your organization uses the Standard version of SQL Server, follow these steps to apply a new version of Viewpoint Estimating to your server.
- Log in as an administrator to the computer that acts as your company server.
- Double-click the install file that you downloaded previously.
- If a window displays listing items to be installed, review the items to be installed and click Install.
- On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard screen, click Next.
- Complete the following steps on the License Agreement page:
- Click Print to print the agreement, if needed.
- Click Third Party Software Used to read the third party software notices and additional terms and conditions.
- Select the appropriate option button and click Next.Note: If you don't accept the terms of the license agreement, you cannot continue the installation.
- If you have previously installed the Viewpoint Estimating files to the default location, click Next. Otherwise, click Change
and select the location where you have previously installed Viewpoint Estimating.Note: The installation checks the amount of free space available on the drive. If the amount does not meet the Server-Based Network Requirements, click Cancel. Ensure that the drive has the minimum amount of free space before restarting the installation.
- Select the database server instance you want to upgrade and click Next.
- Do one of the following to provide login information for database server:

If you want to use the current user's login information, select Windows authentication credentials of current user.

If you want to specify the login information, select Server authentication using the Login ID and password below. Then, enter an appropriate login ID and password.

- Click Next.
- Click Install.
- When the installation program completes, click Finish.
