Contact Type screen

Use the Contact Type screen to create and manage categories for contacts. Contact types can help you simplify lookups and associate contacts with prospects and bids. Some system-defined contact types are included. You cannot delete any of the system-defined contact types, but you can add and delete your own contact types as needed.

Note: To open the Contact Type screen, click Administration > Setup > Contact Type in the All Tasks pane.

All contact types are available throughout the application. They are not tied to any single company.

Note: The Contact Type screen is a step in the initial setup process. The next step can vary:

If you want to import contact data from an Excel or TSV file, the Import Setup Data screen is the next step.
If you don't want to import contact data (and will be entering contacts manually), the Contact screen is the next step.
