Set the scale of a job when the scale is known

  1. Open a job in the Manage Earthwork Estimates screen.
  2. Click Estimating > Earthwork > Tools > Scale in the All Tasks pane.
  3. Select the Use metric measurements checkbox to use metric units for the drawing. Deselect the checkbox to use English units.
  4. Select one of the following options for the Scale property:
    • Architectural: Click to select an architectural scale. This option is only available when the unit system is imperial.
    • Engineering: Click to select an engineering scale. This option is only available when the unit system is imperial.
    • Metric: Click to select a metric scale. This option is only available when the unit system is metric.
    • Other: Select this option to manually set the scale of the drawing for a known scale not listed. Enter the linear footage per inch (for metric, mm per millimeter) for both the horizontal and vertical values.
  5. If you have already digitized drawings for the job, select the Convert job to new scale checkbox to convert the job to the new scale.
  6. Click OK.
