You can add additional business units to Field
View to organize
projects mirroring your actual business structure. You can then tailor forms, tasks, and
processes to the needs of each business unit.
For example, if your company uses divisions, you
could create business units for each of the divisions within your company. You can
then limit users access to specific business units using roles.Fastpath:
- Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Business Unit field, and that no project is selected in the Project field.
- Select .
- On the Business Setup - Business Structure screen,
right-click on the business unit below which you want to add a
business unit and then click Add
Organisation.
- (Required) In the Organisation Name field on the
Add Organisation window, enter the full
registered company name.
Don't add Co., Ltd., Inc., etc.
- In the Organisation
Aliases field, enter any other names for the company
separated by a semi-colon (;).
- In the Registration No
field, enter the company registration number or tax ID.
- In the Resolution Period
(days) field, enter the default resolution period
for tasks for this company.
This can be set on a project level as well.
- Select the Enable Viewpoint
Features checkbox if you also use Viewpoint For
Projects.
- The Visible checkbox
is selected by default.
- To add a logo for landscape reports, do
the following:
- Click Browse.
- In the File
Upload window, locate the logo file and
click Open.
- On the Add
Organization window, click Upload.
- To add a logo for portrait reports, do the
following:
- Click Browse.
- In the File
Upload window, locate the logo file and
click Open.
- On the Add
Organization window, click Upload.
- Select Save.
