Create a Business Structure

Modified: 6 Jun 2026 Viewpoint Field View Help

You can add additional business units to Field View to organize projects mirroring your actual business structure. You can then tailor forms, tasks, and processes to the needs of each business unit.

For example, if your company uses divisions, you could create business units for each of the divisions within your company. You can then limit users access to specific business units using roles.
Fastpath: Business Setup > Business Structure
  1. Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Business Unit field, and that no project is selected in the Project field.
  2. Select Business Setup > Business Structure.
  3. On the Business Setup - Business Structure screen, right-click on the business unit below which you want to add a business unit and then click Add Organisation.
  4. (Required) In the Organisation Name field on the Add Organisation window, enter the full registered company name.
