You can insert a static question table into the form template
has not yet been assigned to a project. Use static question tables to include a series of
related questions when there is finite number of questions in the table group. Static
question tables are made up of a fixed number of rows and columns.
You have already created
a form template that has not been assigned to a project.
One example of a static question table is a table of five quality check questions asked
about ten areas of work. This could be constructed with an area per row listed in ten
rows down the first column, and the five quality check questions listed along the header
row in five additional columns.Fastpath:
- Confirm that the correct business unit is selected in the Business Unit field, and that the correct project is selected in the Project field.
- Select .
- In the row for the template to which you want to add questions, click Design.
- In the Form Designer, click
Insert
Table.

In the Table Group field on the Insert
Table screen, enter a heading for the question group.

(Optional) in the Table Group - Long Description field,
enter text to display on the device in smaller text under the Group Title.

Leave the Custom Report box blank.

Select the Show Static Questions In a
Column checkbox.
- Leave the Is Active checkbox
selected.

In the Question Alias box, enter a short description to
represent the question table in reports and enable the merging of questions in
the table into one analysis column in reports.
This step is optional if the text entered in the Table Group field is shorter
than 30 characters.
- Click Save.
- In the Form Designer, click
Insert Static Row.

In the Static Column Name field on the Insert
Static Column screen, enter text to be the label for the first
row in the first column of the table.

(Optional) In the Long Description field, enter text to
display as explanatory text below the static text.
- Leave the Is Active checkbox
selected.

In the Question Alias box, enter a short description to
represent the question.
This step is optional if the text entered in the Static Column
Name field is shorter than 30 characters.

Click Save & New to add static label text for the
second row of the table.

When done, click Save in the Edit Static
Column screen.

In the Form Designer, in the question table, click
Insert Question Column.
- In Question Title field on the Insert Question window, enter the
text of the question.
You do not need to end the text with a
question mark.
- (Optional) In the Question Advice field, enter text to
display on the device in smaller text under the Question Title.
You can write this in the form of a question with a question mark, or write
explanatory text.
- In the Question
Type field, select a type. See Question Type Fields for more information.
- Depending on the Question Type you selected,
additional fields may display. See Question Type Additional Fields for more information. Select options as appropriate.
- Do one of the following to save the question:
- Click Save to return to the Form
Designer.
- Click Save & New to insert another question of the
same question type.
You have added a
static question table with a question in it to a form template.You can repeat these steps to insert additional questions in the
table. If needed, you can configure the dynamic question table to use a list of
questions called a question bank. You can also insert a single question, a static or
dynamic question table, or text into the form template. You can move questions and add
pages and page breaks. When you are done, close the Form Designer and assign this form
template to a project.
