What's New in Field View 2024 R11

Modified: 6 Jun 2026 Viewpoint Field View What's New

Field View’s November release continues the process of removing functionality added to the web application from Classic Field View and adds a way to keep users from using a process-only form to raise tasks. We removed the ability to set up business and project processes, and personal details from Classic Field View. These functions are now solely available in the web application.

Process-only Forms

Now you will see a checkbox when creating or revising a form template to make that form available only for setting up a process. This removes the form from the available list when users are creating forms, preventing them from inaccurately raising forms outside of the process task or step. This ensures forms have the correct information in the correct place for the process, significantly reducing the administrative burden of sorting and associating forms later.

You will not be able to change a form template to process-only if it is already in use, unless it is in design mode.

Be careful when revising a form template. This is a template setting, meaning that changing the form to process only impacts all forms on any project that use this template.

Remove Items from Classic Field View

Over the past few months, numerous features have transitioned from Classic Field View into the web application, creating a more convenient and efficient workflow. These functions will no longer be accessible in Classic Field View:
  • My Field View Personal Details
  • Packages
  • Business Process Setup
  • Project Process Setup and Setup Import Dates

Localisation Efforts

Field View Help is now available in Dutch, French, and German. Some pages may remain in the original English temporarily as we strive to provide the most accurate translations.

To access the translated Help, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the language picker. Choose your language.

These translations make Field View easier to understand and use, leading to enhanced productivity and better satisfaction among these language speakers. In addition, project teams and collaborators can rely on Field View for their multi-language project, document and site management requirements across European construction projects, without the need for additional solutions in each country.
