Set Project Value for BS 1192 Document Name

If the Naming Convention feature has been enabled for your enterprise to enforce the BS 1192 protocol, you can set the project value to use in all document names. By specifying a project value, you ensure that all documents uploaded to the project are named consistently and accurately. The project value you specify automatically appears in the name of the document and cannot be changed by the user.

To enable the Naming Convention feature, you must contact Support.
  1. In the navigation tree, right-click on a project container and select Configure > This Container.
  2. Expand the Basic Properties section.
  3. In the Auto Naming Code field, enter the project value to use in the BS 1192 name for documents uploaded to the project.
    For example, if you want all documents uploaded to the project to have the project prefix PR1, enter PR1 in this field.
  4. Click Finish.
