View the Permissions on an Item

You can view the permissions that security groups have over an item and the permissions that individuals have over an item by going to the Troubleshoot Permissions page.

Right-click on the mouse icon and select Troubleshoot Permissions.
The Permissions Troubleshooter window opens.
View the security group permissions and the individual user permissions over the item.
- Under Actual Permissions, you'll see a chart of the permissions for that item for security groups.
- Under Effective Permissions, you'll see a chart of the permissions for that item for individual users.
Click Close.
