Access Viewpoint For Projects™ Items through the Desktop App

You can access items in document containers through the Desktop App by browsing to the Viewpoint For Projects™ drive in Windows Explorer or in your preferred editing program.

If you have internet access, you can access any Viewpoint For Projects™ items in document containers.

If you do not have internet access, you'll only be able to access items that you made available offline.

Note: Only document containers will be shown.
  1. You can access items in any of these ways:
    • Right-click on the icon in your system tray and select Files.

    • Open Windows Explorer, select This PC, and double-click the Viewpoint For Projects™ drive.
    • Open your preferred editing program and browse to the Viewpoint For Projects™ drive.
  2. Open the appropriate folder.
    OptionDescription
    Enterprise List A list of Enterprises displays. Double-click the Enterprise and then the containers in it until you find the item you want to open. Double-click an item to open it.
    Offline Files A list of files that you made available offline displays. Double-click an item to open it.
    Personal Folder A list of items in your Personal Container displays. Double-click an item to open it.
If you make changes to items, upload any changes when you are done.
