When you want to open a file located in Trimble Connect in VFP, you must send the file from Trimble Connect before working on it in VFP. This locks the file in Trimble Connect to ensure no changes are made while you are working on it. Both Trimble Connect and VFP display a flag showing the file is published in VFP and can’t be published by anyone else until it’s sent back to Trimble Connect. Once the file is in VFP, you can publish it to different locations.
- Open the folder of the Trimble Connect directory in VFP.
VFP displays a list of the files in that folder that corresponds to the list of files in Trimble Connect.
- Select the tick box for the file or click the three vertical dots at the end of the file’s row. You can select multiple tick boxes.
- Select Publish.
The Publish To window opens with a list of potential folders to publish or import the Trimble Connect file.
- Select the folder and select Publish.
- Open the Notification Centre and select Register or the bulk register option in the notice to complete the typical file registration.
Once the registration is complete, you’ll see the file listed in the selected VFP folder. The Trimble Connect Document information is also visible in the document properties.
