Apply a Status to an Item

When you upload an item, you are required to select a status for the item. A status allows users to quickly see what state or condition an item is in. For example, you can apply statuses such as Draft, For Review, and Final.

When you upload an item, you are prompted to enter a status for the item.
Note: If a default status was configured for the container you are uploading to, Status may be auto-populated. You can change the default.
Select a Status.
Finish your upload.

The status is applied and is visible in the item's Document Properties as well as on the container's Items page.

Tip: If you don't see a Status column on the Items page, you can add it.
