Parse Drawing Discipline Codes

You can specify how drawing disciplines are automatically parsed from drawing sheet numbers.

The Simple option is the default for drawing discipline codes, and is parsed from the first alphabetical letter in the sheet number. The ISO 19650 discipline code is parsed from the 'Role' component if your drawing sheet number is compliant with BS EN ISO 19650 Part 2.
Note: If you are a customer in the UK data center, you already have ISO 19650 drawing discipline codes, and these are your default drawing discipline codes.
  1. From the home page, under Projects, select the name of the project you want to open.
    Alternatively, go to the main menu in the upper left-hand corner, select Projects, and then select the name of the project you want to open.
    The Dashboard for the project appears.
  2. From the upper right-hand corner of the page, select the settings icon , then select Project Settings.
  3. Click the Drawings tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Discipline Parsing section and select one of the following:
    • Simple - Discipline code is parsed from the first alphabetical letter in the sheet number
    • ISO 19650 - Discipline code is parsed from the 'Role' component if your drawing sheet number is compliant with BS EN ISO 19650 Part 2
  5. Click Save Changes.
Drawing disciplines are now automatically parsed as specified.
