Respond to an RFI to provide the information requested. This
is the second step in the RFI process. You can also respond to an RFI to send it back to the
person who answered it and indicate that you need more information.
Each RFI has to be answered separately. If someone
else should answer the RFI, you can forward it to them, instead of answering it. See
Forward an RFI.You
can respond to an RFI if you are not satisfied with the initial answer. You can
explain why you are not satisfied and what additional information you want. If you
are satisfied with the answer to the RFI, you should mark it answered. See Mark an RFI Answered

From the Assigned to Me section of the
home page, select the RFI assigned to you.
The RFI page
appears.

Click the Respond button.
The Respond window
appears.

(Required) In the To field, the person who
responded to the RFI is displayed. If needed, select a different person.
Note: To filter the list of contacts:
- Enter the first few letters of the contact's
name.
- Select Team Contacts to
filter the list to contacts in your enterprise.
- Select PM Firm/Spectrum
Contacts to filter the list to just contacts from
your ERP system.
To add a Team user (someone who has a Team user account), enter
the full email address associated with that user. Note this is not
required if your enterprise is configured to limit contacts to Vista PM
firms.
To add a new contact, select
New Contact.

In the CC field, enter any
additional contacts you want to receive a copy of the RFI.

(Required) In the Response field, enter the
requested information.

(Optional) Select Add attachment to attach one
or more files to the RFI.

Browse to the files you want to attach and
select them.

Select Open.

The Notify Recipients check box
is selected by default. If you do not wish to send email notifications to all
the indicated recipients, you can clear this check box.

Click the Send button.
The RFI is sent and the ball-in-court status is
updated. Additionally, the creator of the RFI is notified by email when the RFI has been
marked as Answered by a
Project Editor or responsible party.RFI responses appear in the Responses section of the RFI
details page.
Note that Project editors can remove a response from the RFI
details page by hovering over the response and clicking
