The Vista 2026.9 release includes enhancements and new features, as well as defect fixes across all geographies.
General Features
This release delivers general enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
- New audit table for bPREH changes
- Audit data for bPREH is now stored in the new VPLog.bPREH table. Use the VA Audit Log Viewer for auditing bPREH changes. While the HQ Audit Detail report (ID #281) remains available, it is displays only older historical data. We strongly recommend transitioning to the VA Audit Log Viewer as your primary tool for viewing all audit history.
- PM License Type now has access to more forms
Additional forms are now available under the PM License Type. License Type is set in VA User Profile. For more information, see License Types.

Accounts Payable Features
This release delivers Accounts Payable enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
- Additional Info Included in AP Vendor Spend Analysis - ePayments report
-
The AP Vendor Spend Analysis - ePayments report (#1316) now appends additional data to the end of each vendor row in the report. It retrieves the value from the Add'l Info field (APVM.AddlnInfo) in the Payment Address section of the AP Vendors form.
Users typically export this report as a .csv file and send it to Corpay for analysis. This information may be used by Corpay to facilitate payment processing.
General Ledger Features
This release delivers General Ledger fixes and other improvements.
- Rounding Option Added to GL Reports
The GL Balance Sheet (#1270) and Income Statement (#1268) reports Launcher windows now have a new field. The Whole Dollars (Y/N) field lets you choose whether the currency/monetary/dollar values in the generated report will round to the nearest whole dollar (Y) or not (N). This field defaults to N.
Headquarters Features
This release delivers Headquarters enhancements.
- Added flexibility for SAFF file generation (Australia only)
The HQ Super Clearing House form has a new dropdown field, SAFF Header Standard, to specify the SAFF file header format based on your clearing house. This update does not require you to change your usual file generation routine.
For more information on the field, see SAFF Header Standard.
Human Resources Features
This release delivers Human Resources fixes and other improvements.
- Standardized US Filing Status Dropdowns in HR Resources
To provide a more consistent data-entry experience, the dropdown options on filing status fields have been aligned into a single list across multiple Payroll forms and HR Resources. For more information, see File Status.
Job Cost Features
This release delivers Job Cost enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
- Contract information now visible in JC Contract Recipients Detail form
The active Contract number and its description are now displayed above the grid in the JC Contract Recipients Detail form. Assuming you have access, you can open this form using the Recipients button in two separate forms: JB Contract Info and the JC Contracts form, JB Info tab.

- Automatic JC commitment reconciliation on PO close
To ensure cost-to-complete projections remain accurate, closing a Job Purchase Order now automatically reconciles committed units and costs in Job Cost (JC) with the Purchase Order (PO) item lines. For more information, see the Purchase Order Features section of these release notes.
Reconciliation adjustments post with a typical PO Close entry source, though are listed with a newly introduced description: JC Cmtd Adj. These entries appear on JC detail logs and commitment reports.
Payroll Features
This release delivers Payroll enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
Standardized US filing status dropdowns in HR and PR forms
To provide a more consistent data-entry experience, the dropdown options on filing status fields have been aligned into a single list across multiple Payroll and HR forms. For more information on the fields, see Filing Status (US) for PR Employees, and Filing Status (US) for PR Employee Dedn / Liabs.
New member verification request (MVR) tracking in PR Employees (Australia only)
For Australian companies, Vista now checks for an employee's MVR status in the PR Employees form, based on two new fields: MVR Verified and MVR Verification Date.
This verification helps eliminate rejections of Superannuation contributions. The process of generating Superannuation contribution files in the PR Super File Generate form also prompts whether you want to include any employees who do not have MVR Verified selected.
Enhanced flexibility for managing clearing house funds (Australia only)
Australian payroll setup in PR Super Clearing House Funds offers new options for managing clearing houses and fund formats. You can now assign the same APRA or Self-Managed Super Fund (SMSF) to up to two clearing houses per Payroll Company, as long as each clearing house uses a different file format—one QuickSuper and one SAFF CSV. This allows you to generate Super contributions via QuickSuper while running Member Verification Requests (MVR) via SAFF CSV for the same fund.
As before, you cannot assign a fund to multiple clearing houses with the same file format.
Routing transit number automatically formats for Canadian EFTs
If a valid 8-digit routing transit number is entered for a Canadian employee in tab, Vista now automatically adds a leading zero to the routing number during EFT file generation to satisfy Canadian banking standards.

Smart Payroll enhancements
- Suggested fixes in PR Timecard Compliance
- When you run a compliance check from PR Batch Process, flagged timecards can now include one-click suggested corrections, not just an explanation of the problem.
- Flagged cells are highlighted and show the current value next to a suggested value. Accept a single cell by selecting the checkmark icon, or use Accept All Suggestions to apply fixes across the entire grid.

- If multiple fix options exist, choose from a menu of options. Each option lists the fields it changes and the rule that proposed it, with the recommended option marked by a star. Applying a scenario updates all related fields simultaneously.

- Automated fixes automatically recalculate dependent field values (such as Hours or Amount when a rate changes) to maintain row calculations.
- Flagged cells are highlighted and show the current value next to a suggested value. Accept a single cell by selecting the checkmark icon, or use Accept All Suggestions to apply fixes across the entire grid.
- In-depth popup messages
- Hovering over a flagged row's Reason column now opens a detailed popup displaying information such as rule name, severity, jurisdiction, and penalty/premium indicators.

- Major performance improvements
- We reengineered the underlying rule-checking engine, accelerating compliance checks by up to 10x, delivering the greatest gains in remote database environments and large batch runs.
- Audit and data retention
- The system now logs all Smart Payroll compliance-check runs with the batch ID, timestamp, user, and number of findings. Once data is checked, field-level modifications and deletions on timecards are tracked in two SQL views: PRComplianceCheckLog and PRTimecardComplianceAudit.
By default, the system retains Audit data for 90 days; it is available only through a custom report of your making or through querying SQL directly.
Purchase Order Features
This release delivers Purchase Order enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
- Default value removed in PO Initialize Receipts form
The Received By field in the PO Initialize Receipts form no longer has a default value. The field remains optional and is still intended to indicate the person receiving the purchase order. Enter a short identifier of your choosing (initials, first name, etc.), not the Vista username.
- Automatic commitment reconciliation on PO close
- To ensure cost-to-complete projections remain accurate, closing a Job Purchase Order now automatically reconciles committed units and costs in Job Cost (JC) with the Purchase Order (PO) item lines.
During PO Close, Vista compares the sum of job-related commitments in JC against the PO totals (at the PO, Item, and Line level). If variances exist—due to rounding, cost changes, tax redirections, or transactional sequence—Vista generates an automatic adjustment entry in JCCD to align total and remaining commitments.
User workflows do not change with this update. Simply close POs using your standard process, and Vista handles the JC commitment alignment in the background.
Reconciliation adjustments post with a typical PO Close entry source, though they are listed with a newly introduced description: JC Cmtd Adj. These entries appear on JC detail logs and commitment reports.
Viewpoint Administration Features
This release delivers Viewpoint Administration enhancements, fixes, and other improvements.
- VA Audit Log Viewer enhancements
To improve system performance when auditing changes made in Vista's bPREH table (related to PR employee data), we have updated the VA Audit Log Viewer form.
- Additional search criteria, such as the Beginning and Ending field values for the Table, Date, and User fields. The new Action field lets you focus on specific types of data updates. For more information, see the Action Help page.
- Search results are now limited to the top 1,000 records. Above the grid, you'll see a status once the search completes: The number of rows/records found, if any, and the Time the search completed. Note: If you cannot find the specific entry you are looking for, simply narrow down your search criteria; for example, by shortening the date range or specifying a username.
- Like the existing functionality of the grid's filter bar, the form's search fields now support use of the wildcard % character in a search term. For example, using bPR% in a Table field will look for any table that starts with bPR.
- New Consultant license type
This release introduces a third License Type for users in VA User Profile. The Consultant type is intended for 3rd-party consultants needing short-term access to Vista without requiring additional paid licenses. Consultant licenses are tracked in usage counts, but they do not count against contracted license limits. Security setup (form, report, data, attachment type) for these users must still be handled in the usual manner.
Additionally, standard Vista reports #973, VA License Usage By Day, and #1338, VA User License Allocation, now account for Consultant license usage.
- VA User Profile interface updates
- The Info tab has been simplified and reorganized with a number of fields moved to a new dedicated tab, called Form & Report Options.
- The Licensing section near the top of the form now includes the Consultant license type for at-a-glance tracking.
- SMTP fields automatically masked in VA Site Settings
- Fields in the SMTP OAuth (Microsoft365 or Gmail) group box (Email Settings tab of VA Site Settings) are automatically masked by the system. Additionally, you cannot copy and paste the values into another window or program. These security settings cannot be overridden.
