Assign Licences in Bulk

Assign licences to multiple users at the same time by uploading a CSV file.

  • If you're assigning licences to 20 users or less, instead go to Assign Licences to Users.
  • If you're setting up users before it's known which licences they should get, or adding Admins who won't be assigned licences to any product, instead go to Add Users in Bulk.
Assigning licences is the most efficient way to add product users because it adds a user to your account, invites them to create their TID to sign in, and assigns the licence in a single step. The same is true if you're assigning licences in bulk.

To assign licences to multiple users in the Admin Console:

  1. In the left pane, select Products & Licences.
  2. In the table, locate and select the name of the subscription.
  3. Select Manage subscription.
  4. Select Manage and then select Assign licences.
  5. Select the Upload CSV tab.
  6. Select Download CSV template.
    The sample file downloads to your device.
  7. Navigate to the CSV file and open it using your preferred spreadsheet or text-editing application.
  8. Enter up to 200 email addresses and save as a CSV.
  9. Drag and drop the file into the Admin Console or select Browse to select the file.
    A pop-up indicates the number of licences assigned.
    Note: If any errors are detected, select Review errors and follow the prompts to address each one.
  10. Select Done.
What happens next:
  • Licences are assigned to the entered users.
  • Each user receives an email from noreply@accounts.trimble.com.
  • Any user who does not already have a Trimble ID is provided with a link to create their Trimble ID.
Some applications require you to take additional action for users to get access. If this is necessary, an on-screen message indicates where you need to go to finish granting access to your users. If needed, consult that application's documentation for additional information.
