Field Definitions: GL Prior Years Activity Form
The following is a list of field descriptions for the GL Prior Years Activity form. Many of the descriptions include links to other topics that provide additional information about or related to the topic.
Fiscal Year Ending
Indicate calendar month of the fiscal year end these balances reflect. It must be for a closed or prior year.
GL Account
Enter a valid GL account code. The description displays for verification.
Beginning Balance
Enter the Beginning Balance of the account.
Net Adjustments
Enter the net activity of the account for the adjustment period.
Dr/Cr
Specify whether net activity amount is debit (D) or credit (C).
Debits
Enter the total net debit amount for this account, this period.
Note: Although you can enter both the total debits and credits (next field) for a period, it is recommended that you enter the total net activity for the period instead. In other words, if the total of debits and credits for the period results in a debit, enter only the total debit amount. If the total of debits and credits results in a credit, enter only the total credit amount.
Credits
Enter the total net credit amount for this account, this period.
