Binder Item Types screen

Use the Binder Item Types screen to create and manage categories for binder items. Binder item types have properties that determine the various behaviors of binder items. The application includes some system-defined binder item types. You cannot delete any of the system-defined binder item types or modify their attachment behaviors, but you can add, modify, delete your own binder item types as needed.

Note: To open the Binder Item Types screen, click Administration > Setup > Binder Item Types in the All Tasks pane.

GENERAL

General

For generic binder items. This is the default binder item type when you create a binder item.

DOCPDF

Document PDF

For document PDFs. This binder item type is used for PDFs created by the application

DRAWING

Drawing

For estimate drawings. This binder item type is used when you create a binder item for each drawing in an estimate on the screen.

DOCFILE

Original Document

For original document files. This binder item type is used for document files.

MOBILE

Mobile

For mobile documents. This binder item type is used for files attached from a mobile device.

DPINVFRM

Invoice Format

For contract invoices. This binder item type is used when you print a contract invoice.

DPCONFRM

Continuation Format

For contract invoice continuation forms. This binder item type is used when you print a contract invoice that includes a continuation form.

DPCORFRM

Pending COR Format

For pending CORs. This binder item type is used when you print a contract invoice that includes pending change orders.

TCPHOTO

Timecard Photo

For timecard photos. This binder item type is used for photos taken on mobile devices as part of timecard entry, when photo capture is enabled.

For Forms 1094-C. This binder item type is used when you print Forms 1094-C in the application.

1095-C

For Forms 1095-C. This binder item type is used when you print Forms 1095-C in the application.

PAYCK

Payroll Check

For encrypted checks. This binder item type is used when you print payroll checks and advices, if the options to Create Encrypted Checks and to Add Checks to Employee Binder are selected in the Payroll Settings screen.

All binder item types are available throughout the application. They are not tied to any single company.

Note: The Binder Item Types screen is a step in the initial setup process. The Standard Text screen is the next step.
